We have fuel prices at all time high making everything food related more expensive from production, transport, processing, , storage then on top we have drops in sales due to price increases.

Then we have large trade ports all over the world being blocked.

Chickens culled worldwide.

Fertiliser production halted in some of the largest fertiliser
producing nations.

Last year I saw farmers (mid June) in my area ploughing in acres of half grown wheat crops as the government basically made it so it would cost them to complete the crop.

I asked one farmer about it, he told me it was better to cut loses and grow something else in the fields that year than make a total loss for the season. This one act alone reduced cereal reserves massively in the UK for 2021
