As a former Dem and now independent I understand where he's coming from.

The party has been hijacked by vicious totalitarians and outright crazies. There is nothing liberal or progressive about these hateful creatures. I want nothing to do with them and feel like I should wear garlic around my neck and carry some holy water whenever I'm around them. And I'm not even religious.
