Silver Alerts - Anyone else getting these? Many more than normal, all of different people?
Don’t know about anyone else but in our small area, I am receiving at least one silver alert every two weeks or so. Sometimes more than one in a week. Prior to clown world commencement, hardly ever received one. Now all the sudden, getting spammed continuously.

The value of silver is calculated in USD along with everything else. The value of anything will go up and down but will only be worth an amount of USD.

It depends state to state on how they get issued.

My job is in the loop of deploying them onto some public-facing screens when they occur. As such I have an email box containing the initial alert emails every time one gets issued in this state for the past 5 years.

They come in waves. Part of this is seasonal: if the weather is keeping people from going out there is fewer of them. However, beyond that I've seen spans of time when there are no silver alerts for 3 or 4 weeks, or once nearly 2 months, only for it to end and have a sudden burst of daily alerts for the week that follows. Almost like people forgot the silver alert program existed until one came across that reminded them.

Right now... some more than usual, but not absurdly so. I'd just call it the result of good May weather.

Elderly (or mentally challenged) going missing. Family looking for them.

They always show up on my phone via TBI and also on Nextdoor. Been that way for at least the last few years. The alerts I have received over the last month alone (all of different folks in the immediate area) are exponentially higher than any similar time period before.

Got it. I'd say the increase is just pure force of numbers. Population is aging, and the covid shots and covid itself lead to mental decline across the board. I don't think that's any longer in dispute.

I never got the shot but I'm pretty sure I got covid. I've noticed mental decline in myself. I struggle to find words, remember names, all kinds of things like that. I'm sure somebody already of advanced age is getting it way worse than me.

You should start keeping track. See if they increase or decrease over the course of the year. Publish the real data when you have some.
