Welcome to the club! A bunch of us already left. Still trying to cleanse the poison from my mind and heart!

Based on your history here on GLP, you ARE "the poison".
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83202271

No the poison is the hatred. Just look at yourself, I can tell you’re American because you hate me for what you have judged me to be. Your mind has been poisoned beyond repair

I have already done that. It's the digital prison that's the last straw for me. They are going to start stealing money right out of your bank account and there is nothing they can't force you to do once they have all currency digitized.
It's coming at light speed.
 Quoting: Zetetic Ben

why do you need to keep money in a bank?

cash out to physical metals etc.

keep a minimum in accounts.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83249340

I would if I could. I'm still 5 years away from being able to retire so still running a business which requires a bank account to process payments, pay vendors, etc. I think US banks are going to collapse and take our money with them. Collapse of the supply chain and exponentially increasing shipping costs will put me out of business pretty soon if they don't shut me down for wrongthink first.
 Quoting: Zetetic Ben

Feds will print their way out. I agree that shipping costs
will kill globalism but that means... building local
relationships. Right?

The liberals like to quote that study which shows blue
States as net payers and red States as net takers but
they always factor out the Federal debt. Including it
makes ALL States net takers. That's what's still holding
the ship together.

Once that reverses, and being a Federal State means PAYING
to DC instead of RECEIVING, a lot of pre-existing
fractures will come into play, you saw the old Southern
State lines appear in the last election. I expect the
PNW to secede, along with Texas and most of the South.

That will end the Federal empire.

Basically a repeat of the USSR collapse.

BTW as an American citizen you have to pay taxes no matter where you live. Could be el Tongo. Specially if you make your living through the internet. They will catch you, there is nowhere to run.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81412559

That's not necessarily true in most cases. As long as you stay outside of the USA for at least 330 consecutive days, your first $80,000 or so is tax exempt from US federal taxes.

I'm sitting on my balcony enjoying the springlike weather that's about the same every day, no need for heat or A/C, gas, electric, water and sewer are ~$35/mo, cable, phone and internet ~$28/month for double the speed in the US so it works out to about 1/8 the price. Good full coverage health insurance with the best company is under $50/month and as head of the houshold covers my wife and daughter at no additional expense.

Is it perfect? No, nothing is, but it's a damn nice change and I can't really think of anything I'd change. I certainly can't imagine downgrading and moving back to the US.

Op you notice these threads always go the same way, whitey must stay put in the slave colony and work off his debts ( federal debt) for the system. Brown migrants are welcome with open arms, no restrictions and only upward mobility, free everything. You might be 10 or 20 years early, but eventually America will be 10% or less European and the US passport will be virtually worthless at that point. You will be living in a country where 90% of the population hates you and wants to murder you. At best Europeans will be living in Reservations somewhere in Utah, cut off from all business, imports or exports. Then you will truly be free, in your open air prison.

So, I think they call them globalists for a reason. There is no escape only running from one place to another. Eventually you will grow tired and settle. Why not just settle know and just do the next thing that feels right.

If/when it hits the fan we will need people who are strong inside and out to bring sanity back to be a rock for others. So if your a coward then you should go. Wouldn't your life mean more trying to help what's around you then to run from fate?

Funny how people love Hero movies, but when asked to be one and then realize how scary it really is, they want to run...lol
