I went through puberty at 9 yr old and had no idea what was happening to me ( I thought I was dying )
To cut a long story short I blame Baked Beans , strange as it may sound .

I read that the body won't let periods happen until you meet 100 or 105 lbs or something. I was slim and short and got my first period about the same time I hit that weight at almost 14.

My 11.5 year old daughter is also short and about 87 lbs. No period or even little boobies yet. I hope she gets a few more period free years because it SUCKS.

I didn’t get my moon cycle until I was 16, and even then I was freaked and not ready for the implications.
