When it came to choosing my sons name, I took it very seriously and I read huge lists of boy names. I then highlighted the ones I liked and then said each one over and over to see if I still liked it after hearing it hundreds of times.

If I still liked it I then researched what the meaning of the name was and narrowed my search even further. I also wanted something fairly uncommon as well.

In the end, for my son I chose DELVIN, which means Good Friend.

Any of the names of the shrine knights from FFT! Maybe not Balk or Vormav, but Kletian or Izlude or maybe Wiegraf or Rofel ...

I knew a man named Adolf when I was a kid. He fought in WW2 and ended up getting caught by the Russians. One day the Russians had Adolf and another prisoner walk through a mine field to make sure the path was safe. After they made it through they took off running. The Russians shot at them as they ran away and hit Adolf. He ended up having to walk all the way across Germany back home while he recovered from that bullet wound.

So...I guess I second this recommendation.
