As a guitar player, my appreciation of Van Halen was down to Eddie - And my appreciation of DLR's solo stuff was mostly down to Steve Vai.

Though back in the day, DLR was a great frontman.

Well, seen from a hetero perspective I mean. I'd have fucked ma weener raw. Well, maybe he did, but lets not get too deep into that lulz.

Yes, he seems a decent guy.

Hagar had a better live voice. Roth was a better performer and had a better look so overall more multi-talented

One of my best friends was DLR's right-hand roadie back in the heyday. Would have to drop what he was doing to take a private jet from LAX to Mexico to pick up party supplies if you know what I mean. Was sent to pick up one of the first big screen TVs only to fish it out of David's pool an hour later because he didn't like the picture quality. I can tell you the man isn't a turd burglar, if anything, he was too wasted on party supplies to keep a woman around for very long. Who in their right mind wouldn't do the same?

He was the epitome of an entertainer.
Guys like him come along once in a generation.

One of the best rock bands and his singing was a big part of it. I like pretty much all of the songs on the Roth VH albums...great array of music. If you havent, take a listen.

He's not gay. I'm 2 degrees separated from a woman he dated once. He was a phenomenal frontman and storyteller but probably barely tolerable in real life, judging by his level of ego. I always thought he was a tall man but he's a little guy. He's accomplished more on this planet than I ever will and he should be acknowledged for that. He was a paramedic, a rockstar, a martial arts blackbelt, he can sing and dance with a vaudeville flair...I just feel like he'd be exhausting to deal with in real life. He has a youtube channel and it's pretty interesting...lots of stories.

You're not interesting and you're not original. Not having heard of someone/something famous/ not watching TV/movies does not make you interesting.

I will say I think Dave is a REALLY interesting fellow. Hes one of those guys who's really smart but will act dumb for a plethora of reasons. He really caught my attention when he did the whole emt thing. A lot to discuss there in all kinds of directions.
