PS. I was planning on paying people decent rates. 15, 25, 35USD per hour. 3x MacDonalds wage is the rule of thumb.

I am not the smartest man on Earth but I think we should get rid of money System because it only creates debt, inequality and poverty and instead focus on resource based economy where everybody have what they need and sharing and helping each other.

We should create new energies Like fusion and free energy for all to have high speed trains, Interstellar spacecrafts, immortality, teleportation, time travel and highly advanced virtual reality.

If I have something more on my mind I will write it through.

Why don't we strive to help people BEFORE they reach a position of homelessness and poverty??

If people fucking cared about others, then a hand up for those experiencing difficult situations (especially medical and health issues) would be given long before homeless shelters and the street.

I shoveled horse chit for $3 an hour in Charleston SC when I was homeless 20 years ago. Sometimes a fast food place would let me sweep their parking lot for a meal too

Thanks for the story, dude. I was never homeless but worked every crappy job. I had to formaldehyde a mushroom farm once. Got sick for a week after that. Another time I had to shovel broken glass from a skip. The glass particles were hanging in the air, embedding themselves into people's skin. I quit after half a day. F**k it.

I've been thinking about "quiet poverty" i.e. people who don't live on the street, but have difficult lives.

That's why I think well paid part time work could start to solve many issues.

The software I'm writing can be repurposed for literally any demographic/country within 15 minutes.

I think, perhaps, you should go back to the educational well to better understand those you are attempting to help. That's where you start not conversing with those who are not challenged or who have never been in those positions.

I suggest the very first element required for your understanding is survival mode. That's where they are: in pure survival mode, which comes with distinct thought processes and behavior.

Three hours work for food is not going to ever help "dig a person out of poverty"; it will, of course, feed them for awhile...if and only if that food is not 1. Stolen or 2. Traded for drugs.

While your efforts are admirable, I'm not sure you fully understand the landscape or those you claim you desire to help.

I think we should all cooperate with each other and things would be a lot easier and better.

Universal basic income in the first place to let's say every human on Earth should be given 4000 dollars per month so we can dig people from poverty as a first move.

I personally work a shitty Job and feel like a slave and my friends also so we don't have time to travel and enjoy life to the fullest.

And then when first task is achieved then we can go to all I wrote in my first post and become even better to establish colonies in Solar System, Milky Way Galaxy, most parts of the Universe and even meet aliens from the Multiverse and far Greater Reality.

If you actually listened to my ideas, instead of making assumptions, you'd see I have covered some of that.

With any project, you start off with a shaky, broken prototype, and gradually start to improve it over the months and years.

I mentioned Patreon for a reason. They're about monthly payments, which would be money that people could rely on regularly.

Someone could start with 1 hours work per week, and scale up to 5, 10, 15 hours. It's a start.

I know some people would trade cash for drugs. That's why I mention food packages and wish-lists.

I strongly believe this is the best population to serve. I also believe it's the greatest in number.

One example in the States: our laws are written and gov programs designed to help only certain subsets of people, and there is a large gap who fall through the cracks, namely adults who do not have children and adult men of all ages. Also unwritten but practiced, POC receive more assistance than white people, which is not a racist statement; it's simply fact.

Medical poverty is a huge, huge issue in the States. Medical bills with one illness can wipe a person out, and many times if one cannot attain medical care, that medical issue may prevent skilled, capable people from productive employment. They spend their savings to survive for as long as it will last, and then they are struggling to pay the electric bill, the medical insurance bill, the cell phone bill for communication even to seek employment they might be able to handle with this medical challenge.

Yes, the quiet poverty issue is massive and is being ignored.

This, btw, is a touch subject with me for various reasons. I'm pleased to see someone wanting to assist, but the variables must be fully understood - and especially your target pop defined and understood - if efficacy of said app is to be realized.

Daozen, I share another bit of fact with regards to the US landscape to place in your research data:

If one calls a church for financial assistance, the typical initial questions for screening:
1. What is your age? 2. What is your gender? 3. Are you married? 4. Do you have children?

Young and middle aged single moms are prioritized, which is admirable because we need to take care of children, but more times than not, it's at the total exclusion of everyone else not meeting that demo.

Most government assistance programs in the US are also designed the same.

When a capable, skilled person who is not a single mom needs two or three months bills paid and medical assistance to get back on, first, their medical 'feet' and then their financial feet, the assistance is simply not there. There's no safety net that can help bounce a person back.

Many of these people end up living in their cars and eventually on the street where recovery is near impossible.

I've spoken with one lady who, at the time, had been living on the street for two years with no claimed or apparent mental illness, who held a Master's degree, and who had a 20 year professional career. She was intelligent and highly articulate. Medical illness and expense, and a lack of family for support landed her there.

Perhaps in Germany. But that 100% claim does not hold true in the US.

There are many who do not meet that profile who end up on homeless without untreated mental illness or drug addiction where they are - and most likely have always been - self medicating.

Untreated mental illness is the root cause in this particular population, and, more importantly, in the general population, which is being deliberately and fully ignored by not only the politicians but everyone in the system and citizens who simply could not give one fuck.

You need a bank account to have PayPal.
You need a home address to open a bank account.

You need a cell phone or computer with internet connection to access PayPal.
You need a bill to address and a credit score to get cell phone service.

You can’t cure homelessness by giving them money.
They need shelter, a shower, and laundry service. Places that sell those things often turn away the homeless, even if they can pay.

It simply won’t work in America, and will only be used to further enslave them.

This is partially true. Issues like this have given me headaches for years now.

Do you have any data on what percentage of homeless people have/don't have paypal? I think about 50% would have it.

One workaround is to have someone else interact with paypal for them, and pay them cash. There's always a way if there's a genuine will.

If I can help one person, it'll be a worthwhile experiment.
