My Stock Strategy......I'd love to hear feedback.
Let me first say that I am VERY new to the stock market. I sort of made up my mind about 2 months ago to get in on the action and just bought my first 2 stock purchases 2 weeks ago.

For the past couple months I've downloaded every book and video I could find on the subject of stock trading and even downloaded some online courses as well.

But as much as I've read and watched so far, I've thrown out the window and developed my own strategy for stock purchases. All the courses and books I read were about reading the charts and using them to predict price fluctuations but my strategy don't have much to do with the charts at all.

Here it is.....but like I said I am INCREDIBLY new at the stock market so I don't have a clue if this is a good idea or not or if I'm doomed to failure so I'd love to hear your thoughts....

I do searches for stocks that are at 52 week lows. Then out of the results I look at the stocks that are fairly cheap to buy (like $0.5 - $25 range), I look at their past history to see their peaks price in the past. So if a stock is at it's 52 week low and is at about $8.00 per share, but then I see in it's past it was once $40 or $50. Then I put that on my watchlist.

From there I look at analyst reviews of the stocks on my watchlist to see if they are set to buy, hold or sell. If the stock is set to BUY than I study it even further and I look for analyst reviews of the stock and see what they think the price will be over the next 52 weeks.

So if a sock right now is $8.00 and had a past peak of $40 or $50, and then analysts are predicting it to gor to $30 or higher, I then put that on my buy list.

And that is how I'm choosing my stocks right now.

Out of the 2 stocks I bought 2 weeks ago I'm up 5% after the crashes this week. There was a stock i was ready to buy last weekend that I used this strategy for,, and was ready to buy but I did not have funds in my investment account at the time so by the time I transffered funds and then bought the stock I thought it would be too late so I passed but on Monday that stock went up 65%!!!!!!!!!

That was only the thrird stock I was ready to buy since I started and I hit a huge winner like that already?!?! I missed out on it (sadly) but I still picked it using my strategy.

I hope this all makes sense to you seasoned in the stock market because I would love to hear your thoughts on it. Good or bad.

And I hope even the 1star bandit will add his 2 cents as well.

Just to add one thing.....I also look at the companies sales as well. If it's a small company that I find it a little too risky to use this strategy on but if the company has sales of more than $50 or 100 million I find it more trustworthy to bet on.

A lot of places will go bankrupt and others will go private while the investors arent looking. Its a bad time to invest in stocks. Even if you see the market taking a dump and believe its a fire sell. You might regret buying it.

Could work sometimes, just remember it’s the casino and like you said they have no rules.

I literally treat it like gambling. Crypto is especially like a slot machine. You could turn 100$ into 50,000$, but it is more likely to go to1$.

Stocks at 52 week lows are usually low because there is a problem.
M-O-O-N that spells pandemic.

You could make your life much simpler by just investing in 4-5 excellent no load mutual funds. A 30 minute research of the best performing and lowest cost over 5-10-25 years would yield 3 excellent choices. Then dollar cost average 15%of your income in a Roth and more outside Roth if affordable. The get rich quick on a single or a handful of stocks is a chapter 7 waiting to happen. Its not fancy just has returned double digit returns for 32 years for me. Or enjoy yours.

I knew a very wealthy stock trader who told me if you don’t have inside information on a company, the stock market is only for gambling and for fools.

Purchase real goods, that have uses, and you can hold in your hands.

Food, everyone needs it. Can you think of anything else that universally marketable?

Find mutual funds that have a 10 year or better track record of 10% or better, then select from those and put 25% in each category: Growth, growth and income, aggressive growth, and International

The last ones didn't bother me and I treated them as a buying opportunity. Buy low is a good strategy. The sky is falling is a sure sign it isn't. I would not be shocked to see a further decline and lateral moves for a while and then start to climb as events lessen. We'll see.
