In the days of old when a King would visit a city or kingdom as he got to within a certain range many would greet him there and travel the rest of the way in with him. Lind of like the rolling out of the red carpet on the tarmac when a dignitary arrives in your country. They're greeted on the tarmac and then brought in. I believe this is what is being illustrated in the scriptures regarding harpazo. God's kingdom is here, His kingdom will come. His faithful will endure to the end. They will be persecuted and endure the tribulation and will suffer as He suffered. Taking up His cross does not mean you get to avoid the pain and heartache of tribulation. I think it's human nature to read that into the scriptures and preferred so people commit isogesis instead of exegesis with these particular passages. My take anyway. Revelation 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.. Those that have the Seal of God- the Truth in their mind and Heart, can not be hurt. Only the wicked get harmed and those not sealed with Truth..who have crossed over The Ford of the Faithful that once was... and still is. |
