There's a retired fellow who sits on the boardwalk on nice days and plays the banjo. He has his hat out but doesn't seem all that interested in making money. It's quite lovely to hear him plucking!

...just kidding. It's really a cool instrument, and its potential goes way beyond bluegrass. It doesn't have the sustaining power of the guitar, which is why you have to do all of those fast-fingered arpeggios.
