Same, here! Our banks credit card did not work, but we tried a second one and it went through. Wonder what's going on.

Yep, stopped at Bridge St. Market (Meijer owned) and their machines were really slow, you had to pay with credit or cash. Took forever for machine to process. This is Michigan.

Nope and nobody uses cash,,,at least those of us who have decent enough credit and a job to get a card.....

Or they are just not reloading them.

This sort of thing occurred every weekend and holiday down at Lake Chapala in Mexico.

The ATM's would run out of cash. Even ahead of a holiday....everybody knew they had to go get cash because the ATM's would be empty....and they were. And they usually were not refilled right away on Monday either.....sometimes 3 or 4 days. No hurry, right? It was Mexico. Dry run/beta test for the economy collapse of today, eh?

So, when stuff like this happens, you are just shit out of luck.

One day a few months ago, I rolled through a Taco Bell. The sign said ATM out, cash only....so when I rolled up to the window to pay, the kids inside said the order was FREE! I figured they didn't know how to make change (even tho I had exact amount).

I wondered lots of times after that what they told their manager the next day!
