That said, there are always a few each year. I don't think there was a death at the Boston marathon (although the number that didn't make it to halfway was double that in previous years). |

Quoting: ChugALugging Like after 30....You should never run ... Its way too hard on the knees, and the body as you bounce around the body weight you have ... Walking is much much much better,swimming....Running is a young mans thing... Walking is forever and much more benefit to ones health... Unless you need to run from a ...BEAR!.... Bad technique and being overweight or otherwise heavy is bad on the knees. I'm in my mid 40s and running without issue as plenty of others are, much older than me. |

But in the south we call 95 degrees at the end of May, “ the end of May”. |

Has ran numerous, in college, 1/2's a couple fulls and countless 5K / 7Ks. Have NEVER seen anyone die. Have seen people collapse, not more than 20 over those 12 years. |

Everything User ID: 80628258 United States 05/21/2022 07:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Rare events in large populations Sudden deaths in marathon running have been the subject of much study in the cardiology and sports medicine fields because they are rare and somewhat unpredictable occurrences. Research estimates range from 0.5 to 2 deaths per 100,000 marathon runners in a given race, a far lower risk of death than in the majority of daily activities. I read other articles but for some reason, the information is quite right, read in the other articles, stated that people do exercises to make sure they are up to the heat if they run in these marathons on hot days and how much water to drink. Blaming in this one giving another view said being young and dying because maybe their arteries are clogged, if their arteries are as clogged as they claim about another guy dying from a run at another one, "maybe" is you signal to disregard their article as fake. If they ran on a treadmill for miles at a time, they would also have a heart attack before they got off the treadmill. If you see maybe, could be, should be, other words in this train of thought just quit, reading it, it is made up of some if not a lot from their minds, the hook is those words to keep them out of trouble. Last Edited by hankie on 05/21/2022 07:55 PM Sorry I got a headache These are the times that tries men's and women's souls! May we come though it victorious! |

Nobody died, nobody went to a hospital. Then had to walk a mile to get to a shower with blistering hot water out of a bladder sitting in the sun. |

People dying while running in hot weather is not a shock, even before the covid vaccines. Quoting: Glaber This-it’s definitely weather related. “When you want to find out who is behind something, just follow the money. Look at the trades made just before 9/11. These are the guys that knew what was coming. The sons of CIA agents, government officials. Close relatives of the most powerful men in America. Cheney, Rumsfeld. They all got rich.” |
