"YOU'RE LUCKY IF THERE'S ANY LEFT" Dessert
Easy Dessert for tomorrow's cookout.


"YOU'RE LUCKY IF THERE'S ANY LEFT"




CRUST: (Can also be wade with a Graham Cracker Crust.)
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. chopped nuts
2 sticks melted butter
Mix crust well and press in a 13x9x2 inch pan. Bake until brown at 375 degrees.
CHEESE FILLING:
1 (9 oz.) Cool Whip
1 (8 oz.) Philadelphia cream cheese
1 c. confectioners' sugar
Mix well and spread on cool crust.
SECOND FILLING:
4 1/2 c. milk
3 pkgs. instant pudding We used Lemon lemon,
Mix well and spread on top of cheese and chill 15 minutes.
TOPPING:
1 (9 oz.) Cool Whip
Walnuts (Or your Favorite)
Spread on topping and sprinkle with nuts. Keep refrigerated. Delicious!!!

never heard it called that. Have heard it called "Fat Mans Dessert". No matter what you call it when it is served it goes Quick.

A tip on hot days like today (It is 96 here in Pa) It goes in the freezer for about 20 min for a deep chill.

I don't use a box mix for Watergate. I use the classic white cake mix recipe for "Silver Cake".

Not with this recipe. We have made Key Lime pie with Real whipped cream. (Heavy cream, Powered sugar, Madagascar vanilla)

and have used mascarpone on cheese cake recipes.

1 cup miniature marshmallows
½ cup chopped walnuts
½ (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
(or use real whipped cream)

In a large bowl, mix together pudding mix, pineapple with juice, marshmallows, and nuts. Fold in whipped topping. Chill.

If using real cream you can add some marscapone or quark to the recipe....can add mandarin slices, too or use fruit cocktail ... traditional is with pineapple though.

yes, yes, you are correct. Thats another family favorite cookout dessert. We also mane something called Pineapple Delight. Simple: homemade whipped cream, crushed pineapple and freeze.

1 can (8 ounces) pineapple tidbits, drained
1 cup miniature marshmallows
1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
1 cup sour cream

Directions
In a large bowl, combine the oranges, pineapple, marshmallows and coconut. Add sour cream and toss to mix. Cover and refrigerate for several hours
