This attack was not targeted. It was random. Cops and Border Patrol was in pursuit of the shooter for the murder of his grandmother.

The shooter wrecked out close to the school and fled there on foot.

He barricaded himself in the school to keep LE from getting ahold of him. Once inside he just went to work. One of the injured is the school SRO that tried to stop him. That is preliminary info.
