Yeah sounds good in theory but most teachers are anti gun. Forcing someone like that to have to cary a gun is asking for trouble. Now if any teacher that wanted to carry was allowed to then that sounds like a better suggestion

I think that's the core of it- but then I wonder:

Did people used to get better mental health treatment- and if so- how- and when did it start being more negligent?

Is it because more parents are unhealthy, do drugs- legal and illegal, are exposed to chemicals and so more children in the last 25 year are born unhealthy with mental issues?

Is it the kind of pharma drugs that are given- often from a young age- that are different from drugs a few decades ago, or are given too soon? I know the side effects on some of the drugs are suicidal/homicidal thoughts- and those under 25 are more susceptible to those side effects.

Good point. Normal police response time is what.. 7 mins on average depending on where you live. To be chased by border patrol after 7 Minutes of shooting the grandmother after he immediately took off down the road. Time lines are adding up. He would of had a least a couple miles head start

Yes, the manner in which the laws are written is that one must be an immediate danger to self or others before anyone can intervene. Anything else is in violation of one's liberty and rights.

If you are not psychotic, suicidal or overtly homicidal, then there's little LE or others can do even if a person has a history of mental illness.

That's the rub.

The mental health system in TX in the 90s wasn't as bad as it is now. Legislators defunded the system and services, hospitals and clinics were closed, and LE and the judiciary are like the mafia in creating more victims rather than treating the (most often untreated mentally ill) perpetrators, which includes a huge population of "functional" mentally ill; those who are not psychotic but who do not have both feet planted in objective reality. "Domestic violence" and family court cases are prime examples.

And, ya can't punish mental illness out of a person...

It only 2 grand on their website. Which is more than I had when I was 18. But includ3 the SA Saint and the EOTech and the 375 rounds plus additional magazines... Very had to fathom and 18 yr old highschool student could afford all that on his own

On a news report the reporter stated the timeline.

The one that stood out to me was the fact the elementary school was on lockdown thirty minutes before the active shooter came in.

How did a school on high alert, with security, not see him coming?

How did he get in?

Parents can’t even get into a school that is on lockdown.

Don’t know anything about Daddy but Mom lives in a house rented out by Grandma. Apparently Grandma didn’t like Mom’s drugs in her house so she was in the process of evicting Mom from her property. Grandpa says the boy hid in his room and didn’t come out.

He flunked school because he didn’t attend. Simply didn’t go to school.

He was teased, liked to fight, got weird chatting to girls.

When he turned 18 he bought two rifles legally.

He either stole Grandma’s car or drove his truck to get away from the cops, from the pictures it looks like he wrecked his truck. (There are no skid marks in the pictures of the truck with broken axels)

I think the number one indicator of a school shooter is the lack of a father.

I can't even get into my child's school during normal school hours. You have to be buzzed in and there are camera everywhere. Used to have a badge that would unlock the doors but they did away with that because of covid

I live IN Santa Fe, it was as real as can be. My daughters elementary school here has bulletproof glass at all entrances. The main entrance has 2 rooms, one with metal detectors and police officer, the next is where they scan your license, believe its a background check as it takes 5 minutes before you can access the hallways as a parent only.

All of those factors plus genetics that impacts brain development, which doesn't stop until age 25.

Drugs assume a neurochemical imbalance but neuro imaging evidence is demonstrating associated structural and wiring issues. The psychological and behavioral issues are symptoms of the neuro that's underlying whether it was formed by activated genes or environmental factors during critical formative brain development years.

But, every way it's sliced comes back to parents, many of whom are unfit to create environments for healthy brain development and well adjusted psycho-social children into adulthood due to genes,their own untreated mental illness, drug and alcohol abuse/addiction, abuse or just plain emotional neglect.

I was trying to figure out last night if either

- One of the two from 2018 included this one, or
- This one was influenced by one of those two

I checked the original police press report posts on the FB page for the comments, but only found someone mentioning the name of the gang they thought the 2018 two were affiliated with.

I also found the page of a woman with the same last name who had FB checkins to the Bryan Juvenile Detention Center, the Brazos County Juvenile Justice Center, and a casino. The articles from 2018 report that the two were locked up at the detention center.

It's a common last name, so I was waiting for the grandmother's name to see if she's listed as a friend on the page - She's not.
