You're probably not going to agree with me or won't understand any of this but here is my answer.

1. America is suffering from having an ideology, "All for 'America' and nothing for other people."

2. America is suffering because its legal field is derived from the hypothetical imperative (Liberalism), and not from the categorical imperative (Moral Perfection / Autocracy of Humanism).

The Hypothetical Imperative:

"Do that, which you want and which is legal"

The Categorical Imperative:

"Do only that, which would be acceptable to the vast majority of humanity"

"Do that, which you want and which is not explicitly prohibited by law"

This speaks to the guilt vs shame society idea. We were a guilt based society in America. I don't know what we are at this point. Seems the NWO is pushing for all to be shame based.

Is there any coming back from the brink?

30 years ago as a student at the University of Sydney, a prof talked about how the slow death of America had already started. I think he was right. Each year a little bit more of our goodness is eroding. I'm not talking Christianity or Republican morals here. I'm talking about our concern about community as well as ourselves. We've become progressively more corporate ie we think of ourselves as profit machines and judge ourselves and each other based on this alone. We think everyone is the enemy and we've become so self-obsessed that I'm not sure we could even recognize empathy if we saw it. I hate to say it, but we're revolting. We need a complete redesign of our values because treating people how we have been is clearly producing some pretty fucked up problems.

Before that generation a man could work a single job and provide for his family while his wife's domestic labor benefitted the family. But the gov couldn't tax it and they responded well to keeping with the Joneses.

We've all known our leaders we vote for were corrupt to the core, and we have allowed it and voted for all this for decades now.

This is the end result of our own choices to ignore the corruption.

There are a number of books that explain what happened to us Americans. The problem is people know, but don't care until something happens to them. Americans, as a group, are in a very comfortable rut with few to any real problems to worry about. You always have folks who need this or that, but the reality is there assistance for people at every level of need. To really change America at a fundamental level would take an action resulting in millions of dead Americans. America ain't a simple country but a large land mass with several hundred million people and enough guns for each and every one of us.
