In 2018 two teens were arrested for planning a mass shouting at their school in Uvalde Texas. Their plan was to carry out the shooting in their senior year which would be 2022. The teens were 13 and 14 years old. The youth were evaluated by mental health professionals and the older of the children was released to his mother. Here is the statement made by the Uvalde school system in 2018:

Our school district is committed to the safety and education of all our students and we want to clearly communicate about safety issues when they arise. One of our Morales Junior High students was experiencing a crisis. Upon rendering aid and support, the student revealed a future plan to conduct a school shooting in the year of 2022. With the type of detailed information that was revealed by the student to law enforcement and confirmed in their investigation, the student has been arrested and will not be returning to our school. Our school district has a strong partnership with our local law enforcement agencies and emergency responders. They share our commitment to student safety, and we are working closely with them to ensure all information is thoroughly evaluated and our school is as safe as possible.
We ask our parents to assist us in reminding their child/children of the importance of telling a staff member if they ever become aware of a plan to harm individuals or of a weapon at school. The STOPit app may be utilized by parents or students to inform administration of any inappropriate behavior. While I don;t indulge in conspiracy theories with no basis, the coincidental timing of this shooting in regards to the place Uvalde TX cannot and should not be ignored.
A few reported facts from the incident should also be considered.
The teens from 2018 in question, proclaimed they would shoot up the Uvalde TX High School not an elementary school.
Salvador Ramos was reported by the media, to have no previous arrest record. If true this discounts him from being one of the teens from the 2018 article. However there is always the possibility he knew these kids or was in their social circle as it was also reported he hung out with the "goth" ad "emo" kids.
This could have been something planned in a social circle of troubled teens for a long time and Ramos simply followed through.
Another troubling question is that it was reported that police chased this kid into the school, yet it was a border patrol agent who entered the school WITHOUT BACKUP and neutralized the suspect.
Why did none of the police who were pursuing the suspect follow Ramos into the school or provide backup to the lone border patrol agent who entered the school?
Also, not sure about TX but every elementary school in my state has LOCKED DOORS and you must be buzzed in by the office to enter the school.
Why was this elementary school not equipped with locking doors from the outside and a "buzz in system" for entry?
This is a common place security measure to keep children from being abducted by strangers or by unauthorized adults and a way to keep track of each and every child who enters or leaves the school.
Why was it so easy to access entry into this school with officers actively chasing the suspect?
again, I am not buying into outlandish conspiracy theories but the coincidental timing and place of the shooting in regards to the 2018 incident as well as the police pursuit and security questions definitely need to be addressed by investigators or the families in my humble opinions.
My sincere condolences to the families in this tragic event and may these children rest in peace.
