I grew up hunting...even in the Uvalde area. My girlfriend is from Uvalde and knows people who were affected by this.

Anyways, for deer and turkey you use a rifle....usually bolt action because you'll only get one shot.

For birds you use a shotgun. My mother was national women's champion back in the day.

For home defense, rattlesnakes, and tracking down a wounded buck you use a pistol.
