Reminder: When a healthcare worker asks you if you have any guns in the home say ‘none’
When you have a healthcare visit the MA will ask you assessment questions including a gun ownership question. Say ‘no guns in the home’ when asked.

Those assessment questions will be sent to all sorts of entities (foreign and domestic) this fall when the Info sharing portion of the CURES act goes into full effect. There will also be mass data breaches of this data because the authentication for these gateways are easily compromised.

Re: Reminder: When a healthcare worker asks you if you have any guns in the home say ‘none’
I have to think that this kind of overlap is how the world ends.

Why is a healthcare worker asking about guns in the home? They aren't dangerous enough to make that a real health care issue at all. Not even a little bit.

The vast majority of gun owners never have a problem that way, either...

So, yes, if they are starting to use medical aid as an excuse to go for people, or might in the future, playing into that system cannot be allowed.

The worlds going to end!?!?!?

The real problem is that fuckin low IQ rubes like yourself think that Muh world is gonna end!!! Which in turn plays into your enemy’s hands and allows them to control you even further because you cannot assess your current plight and make basic decisions that would benefit you and instead do nothing. Not lame. I’ve been doing it since they started asking these questions. Protesting it will only potentially raise red flags in the endless “systems” that could potentially be accessed by government entities.

OP is spot on. A “no” will just make them go onto their next useless business.

This is a good point. Last year I had the misfortune of being admitted in to a hospital for "over night observation," and along with some other "are you crazy" type questions, they also asked:

-Do you have any thoughts of hurting yourself?
- Do you have any thoughts of hurting someone?

Answer NO to every one of those questions or you will be put on a list.

If you are dumb enough to answer yes to any combination of psychological questions and gun questions, you're going to get a visit you don't want.

My kids' doctors were asking this question for years, since they were very young and my oldest is in 20's. The kids were all trained to answer that their parents' guns were all lost in a tragic boating accident. JK. But seriously, the correct answer is always NO. If you refuse to answer or give otherwise snarky replies they are going to mark you as a YES just to be dicks about it.

Oh you’re gonna need it one day. One day you will be sitting there about to take a drink and realize you can’t manage the reflex. Or getting up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and can’t manage a few steps before getting dizzy to the point of fainting. Or one day you are on the floor writhing in pain from your gut. Or your right hip has a sharp pain and you can’t settle it to even sleep.

Yep you are gonna need the healthcare system and they will shake you down for every penny in your piggybank.

That's what I say to them when they ask personal questions like that...."Do you think that's really any of your business? Because I don't. Next question."

Why in the pee welling hell is a HEALTHCARE worker asking if someone has a gun? How is that relative to their health issue?

It's not. Fuck em.

This reminds me of a retired friend who recently went to an ER for an ear infection and was asked by the admitting nurse if she identified as a man or a woman. Stunned, my female friend said, "an ear infection's an ear infection." The Nurse became indignant and -more demanding- replied "We HAVE to know this... it's our policy!"

I blame the Borg, who stupidly claimed "resistance is futile." And I was never even a Star Trek fan.

Last week when I bought some tires at WalMart in a simple direct-purchase [they were to be mounted/installed elsewhere] after I handed over my credit card, the cashier demanded to know my phone number. I told her she wasn't going to get it. And she too demanded, saying it was "NECESSARY". I told her she'd better make one up if she me to buy those tires.

She did.

I won’t be having a “home health assessment” anytime soon. I’m certainly not inviting them in after almost 35 years of ignoring the industry altogether, and if they decide to pay a visit, I won’t answer the door (if home).

When ANYONE asks you a question that is none of their business, then you have a LICENSE TO LIE to them.

WHY? Because if you tell them "it's none of your business", THEN THEY GET THE INFORMATION THEY WERE AFTER.

So go RIGHT AHEAD and lie to them.

This applies to all questions where it is none of the asker's business, no matter who is asking the question.

My weapon is registered. It's no big secret, eh?

But it's also not a healthcare worker's place to be questioning me about anything that doesn't have to do with my health.

It's just more feathering and easing in of us to total gov't control.

Fuck that. I'm not participating in the grooming, so I can be more controlled.

It's unbelievable how invasive our society has become, especially for us seniors whom are looked upon as compliant idiots. If anything, age has made me MORE defiant [and I was always challenging as a kid anyway where my generation questioned everything about "the Establishment".

These days when my phone rings and it's some nitwit hustling another worthless Medicare plan, I angrily cut them off within their first five words and demand my number be removed from their database as required by law. Sometimes it even works.
