The best answer to this mystery is that a highly advanced human race long ago built these structures with technology better than we have today.

I was photographer on the project and took thousands of pictures. This petroglyph is only available in the gigantic report that was published. The preservation in that area is phenomenal due to the fact that the government bought the land in the early 1900s and then it became designated military land. We found a bowl of beans and sandals with a sleeping mat from 1100 ad. In a cave that obviously had never been explored by Anglo people. Here is the report.

The only way unfortunately is to find it in the report, which is for sale. Funny part was I never saw any of the photos I took for that project. The combination of working on a live bombing range (including live ammunition/bombs), encounters with illegals transporting illegal goods(mules), and top notch archeological sites definitely made that project extra fun. What if I told you that the Egyptians "found" the giant "pads" and decided to build the 3 great pyramids on them. The "pads" are much, much older than the pyramids. They had no idea who made them, or why. Completely different material and construction, but it provided them with a stable foundation to build on. You won't read about this in mainstream archeology.
