They have tried this many times they are taken to the Supreme Court for rights infringements, and they have lost every time even under Democrat majority Judges. It doesn't say anything about it not being absolute and really only the people can give up their rights, but if we were stupid enough to do so, all our rights would be gone and we would be their peons, serfs, people who own nothing and are never happy.

Shall not infringe means just what it says, you cannot change it to suit yourselves because you weren't granted the power to do so. SHALL NOT HAS A MEANING AND INFRINGE HAS A MEANING, NOW PUT TOGETHER ONE MORE TIME. THOU SHALL NOT INFRINGE ON THESE RIGHTS. SHALL NOT INFRINGE: do not touch or change any of these rights or try to go against these rights, you have no authority to do so.

Shall not be infringed is only part of the amendment itself, not language recognized anywhere else in the constitution or any pertinent legal document.

Think of it like this... If I wrote a document of rules and in that document I provided the basis for which new rules can be added and old ones removed, and then one of those rules has an additional text saying "and you can't change it"... That doesn't hold up. It can be changed and if the requirements presented in the document are met, an old rule can be removed
