So this kid had zero training in firing these weapons, right? Yet his kill shot ratio is more than 50%, that's pretty good for someone who has never used a firearm in his life. I doubt this kid had the same composure as the Buffalo market killer had.

I'm basing some of these facts from the grandfather's statements.

I can't find the rest. But reason I'm curious if it sounds if there were multiple guns firing is because they changed their story to say only he was firing, when they initially said that he engaged in fire outside the school with another officer who was on the school grounds

The reality is this:

Police are not heroes; they are normal people, and a lot of dirtbags gravitate toward smalltown, low level law enforcement.
They have a shitty job, mostly with shitty pay.
Their number one priority is to make it home safely after a shift.
They are, generally, poorly trained.
Most are not that bright.

It's shocking and sad to see these facts on display vis a vis the Uvalde PD reaction to an active shooter. They were simply scared to risk their own lives to save those kids. Period.

Shocking and sad...but not surprising. Exactly what I expect from small town cops. I imagine the cops in my town wouldn't do any better at all.

If we want schools to be safe and secure, we should secure them properly. That's the world we live in.

The truck tires looked really messed up, he must have been doing some speeding prior to crashing into the embankment. Apparently he wasn't hurt or even phased by the mishap.

The cops are not there to protect normal people. That's fairy-tale shit. A cop might do something brave in a particular situation, just like we all might, but they have no real incentive to. It's not in the job description.
