Pretty much yeah. In our minds its the long game but since God is outside of space and time to him its a mere moment. But He's giving humans a choice to choose and follow whatever they want right now so they can't say we were made to do this or that. God doesn't create robots, but people with freedom to choose whom they want to follow.

You're more blessed if you don't need to hear from God.

He expects us to work on our own, as free agents.

I usually know what I need to do. I mean, on those occasions when I was faced with something I didn't want to do, I would begin to ask God if I should do it, but I didn't even finish my question before doing it, because I knew what his answer would be.
