I had thought they were Chinese but they are South Korean. Quoting: Hoseman Hankook lasting quality and good price. Made in Korea. Michelin also lasting quality , generally higher priced. Possibly made in USA. Had both. Many more Michelin, than Hankook. But Id not overlook Hankook if they were similar but cheaper. Got 25k out of a set of Michelin Cross Climate + tires that had a 40k mile tread warranty. Rotated every 5k miles and not abused. Dude at the tire dealership gave me monster shit about crediting the remaining warranty tread life. Tires were crap. |

After a few hundred miles I had a L/F blowout going about 75 on a downhill curve. The shop sent it in to Cooper and they denied the warranty claim, said it was a puncture. Looked like a sidewall blowout to me, so no more Coopers for me. Quoting: Hoseman I once bought some Sidewinder tires, made by Cooper. Within about 5000 miles, they got noisy and vibratey. The belts had slipped and they were now lumpy. Discount Tire wouldn't even talk about it. I drove on the tires and probably got 75,000 noisy miles out of them. No more Cooper, no more Discount Tire, ever. |

Michelin, Pirelli, and co were all crap compared to those 2. Sailun were the cheapest, last me the longest, and handeld as well as anything. I drive on dirt, in the wet, and at over 200kmh. |

Quoting: Rorschach Watchmen I’m all seriousness before I bought my truck I ran hankooks on my WRX, heavy rain state and they performed great. Toyo for Trucks I bought a brand new Datsun B-210 in 1977 with Toyo tires and wore the car out before they popped. They actually still had a little tread on them. They were very hard tires, by the time the car rusted apart and the motor wore out, they were cracked and dry rotted and had petrified on the rims but were still holding air. |

So my bfgs are kind of cracked up having not moved for 3 years and now that they are all dusty they look great and they feel great too. I have not checked the air pressure and there is a rats nest in the cab of the truck. Side note, chain wax works , still has lube life left on the chain . |

I had thought they were Chinese but they are South Korean. Quoting: Hoseman I've had Hankooks factory fitted as standard on 4 brand new mid range cars since 2000. Yeah, they've all done really well for all usual purposes. Some have withstood puncture repairs very well too. I'd have no hesitation fitting Hankook as replacements on any car in average conditions (I'm in a temperate region; don't do crazy/risky off road driving stuff but lots of regular town and 70mph motorway). Plus I believe they may be a bit cheaper than Michelin. |
