Albuquerque currently has smoke inside of it and completely encircling it. You cant go anywhere without breathing in smoke or your eyes burning. They watched that little fire for 5 days under their "let burn" policy until the winds kicked up on Friday afternoon and exploded. Was working in Denver had to leave a big project when i was on a time frame to finish, and come move all my equipment and expensive personal belongings into an open filed 30 miles away from the fire. The winds finally changed at the last minute before catastrophic loss of everything. But it took me six more months just to retrieve all that i had moved. Now 10 thousand homes and or businesses are gone along with the total loss of your land and property. And displaced people suffering in a time of national emergency for 2 years. Its beyond tragic when those who took oaths to protect us are the ones burning us out of house and home on purpose! I'm very sorry for you, and all the victims. Look how many our government killed with covid. Pure evil. Those responsible will indeed pay. If not in this world, the next. |

Just started winds 25 knots and smoke in my yard, fire trucks wen flying by my place an hour ago. WInds are gusting to 35! SW NM here. This past week the smoke from all the fires has been settling here. Can't even see half a mile, instead of the usual ten miles! Can't see any of the close mountains either. Horrible for trying to work outside for any length of time. |

I think CO changed their policy finally to put out the fires when first reported. They want to put a greater effort on putting out the little fires rather than setting up a large, planned fire fighting zone. They don’t call out the aircraft until it’s too late. They should go ugly early and dump on those little fires. Of course the wind doesn’t help at all. During Waldo Canyon fire the fire was roaring down the mountain at 70mph. Impossible to fight that.
