We drove about an hour and a half into the mountains to a small town and it was packed. Nice to see after two years of businesses struggling. |

What’s the use of living if you don’t have some fun once in a while. You’re a retard judging by all four of your posts. Enjoy hyperinflation as the economy crumbles because these losers won’t pay back their debt. How do you know? You just want people to sit at home like you? To be miserable? I’m glad people are out. Screw it all. Have some fun. You sound like you hate life. And want others to do the same. Maybe it’s you who are retarded. Get out of the house and have a good time and quit focusing on other people. And yes many people have lots of money. I know quite a few. |

Quoting: BarbaricYawpSounder During the great depression, movie theater attendance skyrocketed and cinemas thrived. The reason was when times are tough, people spend on affordable diversions. You small town is busy because instead of getting on planes and flying to places like NYC or Vegas, families are saving money by driving to smaller, closer, and cheaper vacation spots. It is much, much cheaper for a family to pay double for gas than to buy four tickets, which are then ALSO jacked up due to high gas prices. It is common sense. Five years ago my FB feed was filled with pics of families vacationing in Europe, carribbean islands, and other exotic locations. Now all I see are families going camping or going to national parks by car. Literally nobody going to Europe. Even upper middle class people can barely afford that right now. These are the same reasons why when retailers fail everywhere, Dollar Tree and Dollar General thrive. People downgrade their behaviors. Your town has become the closest they can get to a week at Disney World. There is no mystery to this if you look at history and just think it through for a minute. Flying to Europe is easy. It’s getting back into the states that is not. People still have to take a covid test and you can’t get back until you get a negative test. It’s Russian roulette leaving the stars now. So staying here is easier.
