The composer Vangelis, who composed the Blade Runner soundtrack, Chariots of Fire, along with all sorts of other music, died on May 17th.

Like a lot of other people who people remember dying and have "died again", he was one I remember.

Similar to Jack Palance, etc.

No, he wasn't asked to do the 2049 soundtrack since his recent style was more orchestral and would not fit the film.

I did not know that he died. He wrote some beautiful scores.
