A neck tat came for a job interview today where I work

9 out of 10 people are worthless anyway. At so.e poi t you got to hire the losers and hope to get 10% out of them.

I saw a damn good looking girl today.

But she had a big ugly tat on her neck.

Oh well. I guess the world needs more dumb whores.

It's heartbreaking but the upside is they put the sign right there for all to see who are smart to avoid them, and the smart do avoid them.

Depends what the job is, most jobs, especially blue collar, I would say just doesn't matter. Also matters where tat is at, you have it on your forehead, people might think twice.

I know lots of nice people that have a lot of tats, and some of them have a really hard time getting job because of it. Their choice in life to do that, not the brightest.

A few years back I didn't hire a pretty qualified candidate for a receptionist position because she was flipping her tongue ring at me all throughout the interview.

She could have kept it to herself and I may have hired her, but it just grossed me out she was purposefully playing with it all throughout the interview and definitely didn't want that as an image for the front desk.

it depends on the job....i was in charge of hiring technicians at a chemical plant for five years.

management didn't like it, but i hired all kinds of people....statistically the high school graduate blue collar types were much better at manning the reactors than the four - year degree types..

yes, i have a degree in chem eng. or i wouldn't be in charge of that shit.


i built the best crew around....blue collar types sprinkled with a few 4 year chem eng types...

it was a 40 million dollar department in production..


everyone had a good time.

some had neck tats.

it's just work at the end of the day.

as long as everyone goes home without chemical burns, is happy, and has fun and the product goes out the door.

Work with a petite and semi cute but with a tatted up face, arms and legs 23 year old, going on 13. She is BPD. Sad but what a moody bitch. Hard saying if she was abused or not. Could just be genetics and a product of the times. She is always starved for attention, good or bad. Daddy was always working and never around, so I'm told. Her mom also works with me and she never held her accountable.

I manage product demonstrators at a well established warehouse club and I've made a neck tat my supervisor. Minimal bullshit, enjoys managing when i want off, and a damn good public engager

I had a friend from way back when that I hadn't seen in a while and we went out to dinner with her son and mine, and she acted like she was broke so I picked up the tab.

Later as we went outside, there was a tat shop nearby, and she started all bragging about the tat she was getting that weekend that was hundreds of dollars.

I was pissed that she thought it okay to play poor and then just brag about blowing all her money on a tat, lost a lot of respect for her after that event.

If you get it (tattoo) get it somewhere that it can be hidden.

One thing I would do is if in manufacturing or shipping (internal OR external) would be a Hair Follicle Test. Forget the piss test, that can be masked and in any case only shows very recent stuff.

The Hair Follicle Test while much more expensive gives you a much more complete picture of the person and their potential drug use going back for a considerable length of time.

If the person is going to be around equipment that can injure people you NEED them to be drug free as a personal lifestyle choice, not just for when they are coming in to apply for a job.
