An argument could be made that Laredo's May month was one long heat wave - at the very least an abnormally warm one.

Starting Sunday Texas and SE New Mexico get the next roaster.

Good news is the dry line is east Texas instead of west Texas, but the actual air temps will likely be higher.

We start June where May left off and we're still a month yet from July when things are normally this hot on some days.

The significant dryness in place across much of western and central Texas will allow the heat to become more intense across the region. 100-110 in some places.
