What do you do to overcome boredom?

Reading ,photography, shooting, playing with the grandkids...

It takes many years of learning about ones self.

Sitting in silence and solitude.

If you didn't do it when you were young.

It will only be harder when you're older.

Most people can't do it.

Because when they sit with themselves, their thoughts.

They find out that they really don't like themselves.

Not telling you.

Figure it out, sell out

I'm not really sure it is true, but there is the old saw: only boring people get bored.

So, perhaps it is time to follow your interests to a less boring place!

I am never bored, but occasionally tired.

Then I clean stuff or do other "no brain" tasks around the home.

That seems very important in the grand scheme of existence!

I have too many things I like to do to ever get bored! Even just sitting by myself in nature is pleasurable. It’s wonderful to just “be here now” and observe and experience.

Play guitar/drums and record, go hop on my motorcycle and ride, pick a project to complete around the house, go run the dog down to the river.

What sort of stuff?

I don't know this "boredom".....at any given time I have about 6-8 open projects in my workshop....being warmer weather, out door activities like hiking, biking, and fishing is also on the schedule.....gotta shoehorn in my workouts too....

I would have to stop moving first to be bored.....LOL....

Overcome the feeling by just sitting there

If you go by the premise that our souls are eternal, then never stop learning. Learning is something that you take with you through all incarnations. Languages, art, music, are all great to learn. That child prodigy you see playing the piano like a seasoned expert brought that talent from a past life guaranteed.

I'm never bored, really.

Before I feel bored, I'd much rather catch some sleep (I work midnights and am always ready to top off on sleep)

Too much time in your hands, what about two jobs or working and going to college at night. Too much right? Boredom and depression are the Illness of the lazy.

It all starts with getting off the couch, take a walk, ride a bike, read a book, cause some trouble, unplug from the madness and regroup.

In 2022 if you actually find yourself bored all the time, it may just be that you’re just a miserable bore.

Learning to play piano. Found a decent keyboard for cheap on craigs list. Learned the basics on YouTube and some advanced stuff on masterworks.

It waa hard to stay motivated at first but it starting to have momentum.

Also Not wheels R/C.

Quit my job and find a new one. Novelty makes us less bored.

When AI replaces all of our jobs we are going to have to find something to keep us occupied. We will all be in an early retirement… maybe we will join a starship enterprise and explore the unknown regions of space.

Get a dog and a cat, they keep your head spinning, you won't remember boredom.

I talk about myself in third person on a conspiracy forum on the internet for years and years .

I don't have time to be bored. It takes all of my time to avoid the work that needs done around here.

We're just ungrateful, there's plenty stuff to do
