Then they will sell it again and again and again keeping it in the vault. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79433594 It’s going to be like comex paper gold. Good luck taking delivery And, anyone that is not in the system will not be able to easily buy or sell their “valuable thing” on any platform. |

Then they will sell it again and again and again keeping it in the vault. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79433594 It’s going to be like comex paper gold. Good luck taking delivery This is definitely the correct take. A card could change hands a dozen times in a very short period without ever physically leaving the vault. eBay would collect fees on every sale of course, while the buyers and temporary owners would never actually physically possess the item. Very similar to the paper silver/gold scam. However, a buyer could request for the actual item to be shipped to them. But it's clear they are encouraging buyers to use it as a digital commodity to invest in and buy and sell and keep it in the vault. I'm guessing that the fix will be in and buy out prices for items that remain vault bound will be higher to encourage that means of collecting. Meanwhile, eBay will be in possession of BILLIONS of dollars of actual rare comics, cards and games. Passively gaining profits from their sales. Thus, the buyers and owners of vault items will have digital pictures and digital id# tokens for their items in place of the actual goods. Own nothing and be happy. I would imagine that by 2024 they will have the category of unvaxxed blood auctioned by blood type. eBay will become an electronic blood bank for the super rich and elite. https://imgur.com/a/oNrgEWy |

Quoting: Pistis Sophia of the 13th Aeon Starting this year (2022), professionally graded trading cards, such as Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh and all pro sports cards now have the option of being stored in a collective vault. This would allow the owner to buy, trade and sell their high end valued cards with stock market like speed and convenience. No more packing and shipping and waiting for the physical card to arrive. No more risk of theft or damage during transit. You would receive a "digital photo" instantly upon purchase and if you choose, it can remain in the vault. Ready to be sold and transferred to another buyer (investor). Plans for eBay to add even more varied collectibles for Vault storage in 2023. [link to finance.yahoo.com (secure)] "By 2023, the eBay vault will expand to include additional collectibles categories and luxury goods. Within a few years, the eBay vault is expected to hold up to $3 Billion in assets, making it one of the largest stores of non-governmental assets in the world." If you cant hold it, then its not really yours. The moment someone else is holding anything of yours, whether its in a warehouse or a vault, its no longer yours. |

Do you think people who trade commodities or stocks want to have to take physical possession of the goods or certificates before they can sell them again? Why is this any different? Maybe we should go back to the days when you had to have physical possession of stock certificates and every trade took two weeks to finalize. But you don't even know what you're complaining about you're just looking to bitch about something that doesn't even effect you when this is very convenient for people who it does effect. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 83596947 United Kingdom 06/08/2022 04:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In my line of country - antiques - this would never be possible. Take some of the most expensive ceramics for example - Ming vases, say. They can and do often fetch 10s of millions at auction. They need to be examined PHYSICALLY by an expert/s, every time they are offered for sale because their authenticity cannot be guaranteed any other way. Or priceless paintings ? Again, the closest PHYSICAL and forensic examination is necessary. No amount of pixels can tell you its genuine - and even then, the experts sometimes get it wrong [ wonder what that reminds me of ? ] museums are full of dodgy attributions. And if these things are not " luxury goods " what is ? So, for some of the most expensive objects on the planet, this is impossible, and right down the chain to lesser but still highly desirable artefacts. But I don't even think this is the point. The point is to turn the real into the virtual. To wipe it out. To replace us, our goods and chattels, the greater and lesser masterpieces of the world, with the metaverse. Where we do not belong. |

Not the collectible cards. Whatever shall I do?</sarcasm> You're a vapid ignoramus who hasn't the intellectual capacity to understand the implications of this. Elites and institutional investors are grabbing up all of the physical assets in the world. All of them. They're removing all possibility for normal folks to store their wealth or even their meager savings, in anything but for a heavily monitored, digital, FED-Coin account. Even small items worth less than $5 or $10 are going to be amassed in bulk and traded and their aggregate value leveraged by investment bankers and elite investors. The peasants will have to content themselves with whatever the State says they'll allow them to have in their Federal Reserve-overseen account. |
