What people that live on the coast don't get is people that live in the suberbs and country need their cars. People work hard too and for long hours and often partly live out of their cars. So they need places to store their stuff. And, if you have kids in sports, same thing. Equipment change of clothing, drinks and food in coolers and so on. Not to mention you need cars to maintain your home and bring items home. And, groceries. Nobody wants to do daily grocery shopping paying big money for little bottles of this and that.
