I thought it was overkill to be honest. Straight up execution. The perp has a shitty revolver that he wasn’t even holding properly and wasn’t pointed at anyone. Seeing as his lookouts had bailed he was on his own. Cop coulda pistol whipped him or done basically anything else other than shoot him point blank in the head multiple times.

Poor gun discipline as well, you’ll see that when he first brings out his gun, he uses his stomach to hold the point so he can get a better grip - watch closely. Could’ve popped himself in the belly.

After he’s done executing the perp he then briefly points at the old man whom was there the whole time so if cop had decent situational awareness he wouldn’t have been concerned by him.
