Because its deception 101. they tell you the opposite of what is happening.

If the gas and food is high, then tell the population the opposite of what is happening. When that starts to fail, then create a distraction to try to take their minds off of it for a while.

Its been the political playbook for half a century now.

They've broken the levers they had to steer the economy and at this point there's nothing they can do except for try to tell you it's not happening and there's something wrong with you if you're not making it.

Its a multifront attack by the govt on the people which locks down the people who scramble just to survive and can mobilize because they cannot afford gas. The govt is creating a central dependency upon themselves so that the American people do not rebel as they fundamentally change society to be a tyrannical dictatorship. If people have food, money, and cars, they can organize and rebel against such tyrannical changes. So a people deprived worries more about basic survival than anything else.

They want you to starve. They want a dark winter of hunger and desperation.

Because then they can introduce "solutions" to the problems in the form of stripping away more of our freedoms and systematically reducing the population who are a problem for them.

The US is expendable. They don't care about one country. Their assault is one on humanity and it spans much of the world.

The trick is deceiving the public for awhile to keep them calm so they get blindsided when we cross the critical point.
