Thats where we get into the trinity, Jesus is the WORD made flesh (John 1), that is not the same as the Father, but they are ONE (as John 10:30 states). The video also go into this, please watch.

Emmanuel, one of the names given to Jesus in the announcement from the angels, literally means “God with us”. Jesus told the disciples directly in John 14: 9-11 that He was in the Father and the Father was in him. He instructed the disciples to baptize people in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

The Trinity is a complex subject, but don’t deny the divinity of Jesus.

The Cross in the Old Testament is also a fine topic.
 Quoting: beeches

Melchizedek

Genesis Chapter 14

18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.

19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:

20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

What the Bible says about Tammuz
[link to www.bibletools.org (secure)]

[EXCERPT]

What does the worship of Tammuz have to do with the sign of the cross? According to historian Alexander Hislop, Tammuz was intimately associated with the Babylonian mystery religions begun by the worship of Nimrod, Semiramis, and her illegitimate son, Horus. The original form of the Babylonian letter T was † (tau), identical to the crosses used today in this world's Christianity. This was the initial of Tammuz. Referring to this sign of Tammuz, Hislop writes:

That mystic Tau was marked in baptism on the foreheads of those initiated into the Mysteries. . . . The Vestal virgins of Pagan Rome wore it suspended from their necklaces, as the nuns do now. . . . There is hardly a Pagan tribe where the cross has not been found. . . . [T]he X which in itself was not an unnatural symbol of Christ, the true Messiah, and which had once been regarded as such, was allowed to go entirely into disuse, and the Tau, "†", the sign of the cross, the indisputable sign of Tammuz, the false Messiah, was everywhere substituted in its stead. (The Two Babylons, 1959, p. 198-199, 204-205) [link to www.bibletools.org (secure)]

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76699889

Christianity is monotheism. Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear o israel our god is ONE. And the word for ONE here is ECHAD, which means plurality in oneness, if it was a singularity, it would say YACHID but thats never used for God.

In islam, you worship allah, and the supposed eternal word of allah which becomes a white man that argues with allah and sends black people to hell. Thats 2 different gods. In addition, you have the omnipresent dead muhammed you pray to, and the rock you kissed which forgives sins, something only God can do, and which was used as a toilet for 40 years btw. I count many different gods here.

He prayed to the Father. God is a trinity and complete within himself, God is never lonely or needy without creation unlike for example moon-o-theistic pagan allah supposedly. But then if we look more closely at muslim theology, we find out that you are actually polytheistic, as i showed over here. There is no inseperatable oneness in these various divine entities muslims worship, like there is in the trinity.

Jesus would pray to the God of the OT, he was not Him iamwith
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76699889

Actually he was the "God" of the OT. Jesus states no one has seen the father, except himself.
So all contact with "God" in the OT was not with the Father, It was with the " son", Jesus.

John Chapter 1 confirms this:
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. ( thus he created everything, including Adam and Eve. So he was the person that Noah and Moses and Abraham knew)
Confirmed by verse 10:
10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.
And then much later in verse 14 , he came to us as " flesh" or as "Jesus"
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Trinitarians reject Jesus because Jesus is not "part of a trinity" or "a trinity" and YOUR Jesus is merely a part of "the trinity".

Trinity is what the bible teach, plain and simple. The WORD Trinity is not in the bible, but its the summary of what the bible teaches. Being ignorant is no excuse to not knowing basic theology.

Christians have been so much lost, you prove it again. Too bad for all of you neither Jesus nor his first disciples were christians.

Christian means follower of Christ and were first given in Antioch so youre right, but later Christian came to mean a follower of Christ.

As for you, what pagan religion do you follow?

Christian means follower of CHRIST. NOT "THE TRINITY".

CHOOSE BETWEEN THEM CAREFULLY. PAGAN...
