The SEVENTH Trumpet of Revelation Sounded In or Around 1793
That's what theologians from the 18th and 19th centuries knew and preached.

Within the era of the seventh trumpet are the 7 vials or bowls of God's wrath.

The first vial of wrath was the sore of Atheism that was poured out on France prior to the second vial, the French Revolution, which led to the slaughter of millions who revered and served the beast system.

The third vial was a continuation of the massacre of servants of the beast system that took place in rural France.

The fourth vial represents the bloody Napoleonic wars.

The fifth vial was the removal of the Pope's temporal power in 1798.

the sixth vial was the drying up of the Ottoman Empire in 1922.

We are sitting somewhere right before the 7th vial/bowl judgment.

If you're a Christian who's hungry for truth, then you will find comfort in the historicist view of prophecy.

The "Left Behind" and futuristic nonsense that so many people believe these days just does not stand to the measure of history as it relates to prophetic events foretold by Jesus Christ, our Messiah.

I have been reading the Bible for 30 years, and my understanding of prophecy, eschatology, end-times, etc. has predominantly been based on 20/21st century interpretations that are widely disseminated by most major Christian denominations.

For example, I'll bet you believe, like I did and probably most Christians do, that the 70th week of Daniel is a week of years that takes place in the future;

that at the beginning of that week, or seven years, a peace treaty will be signed, and 3.5 years later the future anti-Christ will break the treaty and begin persecuting Christians for that last 3.5 years.

And there are variations to this theory. Some Christians believe that they will be raptured to Heaven right at the beginning of this last 7 years.

Others believe that they'll be raptured midway through at the 3.5 year mark, and others believe the rapture of saints won't occur until after that last seven years, or just prior to the wrath of God being poured out.

Most modern Christians also believe that Matthew 24 has to do with the second coming of Christ and the end of time. I did too.

Something about these interpretations has never seemed right, and there is a valid reason for this.

For example, most Christians who believe that prophecy awaits a future date have no idea how to handle verses like Matthew 16.28, which says:

Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

or Matthew 24:34, which says:

Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

Some preachers use word gymnastics and attempt to prove that Jesus is talking about "This" generation as a future generation, but that is dishonest and does not coincide with the context of Scripture.

In my search for truth I came across the youtube channel below. It has been a Godsend because the information simply harmonizes with Scripture and with history.

Brothers and Sisters, we are living in the Laodicean church age where Christians say, "I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing.." and knowest not that [they] art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.."

Jesus counsels us to "buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see."

It's to time for the Church to wake from Her slumber.

Re: The SEVENTH Trumpet of Revelation Sounded In or Around 1793
Most modern Christians want to know who the two witnesses are and when they will start their testimony on earth.

Their perspective of prophecy and the book of Revelation is encased in the modern, futuristic narrative promulgated by contemporary theologians; not because it makes the most sense, but because it's what they've been taught.

It's time for Christians everywhere to wake up. The Lord Jesus Christ has not been dormant for the past 2000 years.

The book of Revelation starts out by saying, "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John.."

The meaning of "shortly" in the original Greek text is as follows:

táchos, takh'-os; from the same as G5036; a brief space (of time), i.e. (with G1722 prefixed) in haste:—+ quickly, + shortly, + speedily.

Our Lord has been working for the past 2000 years.

As Henry Grattan Guinness, a protestant theologian from late 19th century put it in his book, "History Unveiling Prophecy or Time as an Interpreter," "For prophecy is history written in advance. As the ages roll by history practically takes the place of prophecy, the foretold becoming the fulfilled."

The interpretation of the "two witnesses" was clearly understood by early theologians as representative of early church martyrs during the crusades and inquisitions of the dark ages; not some futuristic event.

Start with this video and read some history. For those sincerely seeking truth, it will be a spiritual breath of fresh air to understand the connection between prophecy and history.

What is the mark of the beast?

Is it really what you think it is, or rather, what you've been told that it is?

This is the best explanation of this topic that I have come across, and it makes the most sense from a scriptural and historical perspective.

Who is the man of sin of 2 Thessalonians 2:3?

Like most Christians, I used to believe he was some mysterious figure that would be revealed at some point in the future.

Like most, I was deceived.

The early church fathers and saints for over 1000 years have known who the man of sin is.

This video reveals their testimony against him.

Re: The SEVENTH Trumpet of Revelation Sounded In or Around 1793
What is the Abomination of Desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet?

I used to believe that at the mid-point of the future tribulation the anti-Christ would set himself up in God's temple.

My only dilemma at that time was whether it would be a physical temple or a spiritual one.

Modern theologians claim it will be a physical temple, rebuilt in Jerusalem, but the original Greek word for temple used in 2 Thessalonians 2:4 is naos, which means spiritual temple.

It's the same word Jesus used when He says about Himself to His adversaries, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up."

In contrast, the word for a physical temple, built with literal stone, is hieron. I knew the anti-Christ would not set himself up in God's hieron but rather God's naos.

However, I then learned that Jesus defined what the abomination of desolation is. Most people tend to reference Matthew 24:15, which says,

"When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains..."

But if you read Luke's account (Luke 21:20-21), Jesus says,

"And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains.."

The abomination of desolation is defined by Jesus as the armies that were to surround Jerusalem and bring about its desolation.

Jerusalem was compassed with armies between 66-70 AD during the J-1sh-Roman War, which led to its complete destruction in 70 AD.

Remember Jesus' words to His disciples in Matthew 24:2? "There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down." That prophecy came true in 70 AD.

Yes, he's the reason I began looking at the historicist view of prophecy. All the youtube links I've posted are to his channel.

It truly is a treasure trove of information and a huge breath of fresh air. I did not realize that all the protestant church fathers were historicists, unlike our modern preachers who teach a futurist narrative.

For those who are really searching for the truth and not dogmatic and stubborn about their beliefs, you will truly be refreshed and grateful to God for David's in-depth research and presentations.

His videos are not elaborate and highly produced. They're just pure, well-documented lessons on history and prophecy, which I appreciate very much.
