Why are food companies allowed to keep their profit margins the same during a crisis?


In war times, some countries shut all manufacturing down in order to help the govt with war efforts. All that is needed during economic war times to protect consumers is to limit profit for certain companies during crisis.


The rising food prices are unnecessarily high and will get unnecessarily higher just because the food companies want to keep their profit margins high. They should be regulated during these times
