The Circular Repetitive Monotony of Philosophical Discourse
What is Philosophy?

Should there be an ultimate question to answer when the idea is the journey?

If written, words are true - if written words are true - this sentence is (tautologically) true.

Re: The Circular Repetitive Monotony of Philosophical Discourse
Mathematics is an example of an axiomatic system

Is philosophy a collection of various axiomatic systems albeit in these realms the discourse is usually carried out in a less rigorous or precise way?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78153869

What is deductive reasoning other than working within an axiomatic system and determining what conclusions follow from some given assumptions?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78153869

That is precisely it.

Going metamodern after postmodern not because it is more of just the same. Really, you should have known better by now we've heard it all before and saw the patterns you never did understand.

Maybe the point is, you make your own meaning whatever that may be, in the time you have.

We all know our clock is running from the moment we learn what death is.

It's said when the last person who remembers you dies, you cease to exist.

Thus, some last the ages, for various reasons.

Some also say..immortality is a curse potentially for those same reasons.

Nah. hf

Seems to me, if you want to be remembered, be or build or create/destroy something worth remembering.

Something that in hundreds of years people can still look back and appreciate/despise.

Relate to. In all our humanness.

Let me tell you about meaningism.

You make life meaningful. You dont wait for some fairy ass promises from some grand Imaginary but you live your life making it what it can be.

That's how I live, and always have.

Even when I color the truth with shades of illusion, it is my meaning to be.

I found a field of flowers beyond the field beyond "that" field that everybody knows.

There I paused.

The precious wee ones buy knives, one for each murder. It is meaningful to someone that way. So many grownerups so full of wisdom they dont offer, full of pedantism in attitude most of all. Not cleaning up the blood of the dead. Not finding the killer. Just sitting on two thumbs at once.

Can you imagine someone so triggered by their need to feel like your parent that they hover around your thread when it's fallen off the bumps?

Psychoanalysis: They have problems with their parents that are living their life for them, as a false identity they developed around the absence of the parent(s) missing from their life.

To those who liked the thread, might not like me, I am somewhat discontent but moreso that the thread was made, since at the time of tossing it out like an old napkin with shitty lyrics on it, I didn't think I'd find something I'd like about the idea.

Had I known, I wouldn't share it to GLP. GLP explicitly demands ownership of things you post. I also pay them to use the site the way I currently do.

That's a scam if you ever saw one. I might write a book, though...someday.

Do you know about paregmenon?

Definition: A general term for the repetition of a word or its cognates in a short sentence. Often, but not always, polyptoton.

Examples

It will destroy the wisdom of the wise.

Funny, I did write an answer and it was cancelled.

I wrote that I do deserve better. That's why the content is gone. I dont recall what else I wrote but it was probably that which got my answer nixed. The format of this message board isn't "quite" what it could be. Many are quite happy with it. I dont need to make a fuss about it. I can move along.

I would correct that to THE WORLD.
Everything you write and everything you say CANNOT BE TAKEN BACK.
IT is on the table. Forever will be.

Perhaps a pursuit in understanding causes and consequences would be a better use of your time.

Whatever perfect system of philosophy you have will never replace knowledge through experience.
And what better way to get through experiences than to pay attention to what starts and stops them? Cause and effect.

Good luck
