Magical thinking and narcissism are destroying America

Magical thinking is a person believing they have an innate power through birth, religion, or just plain delusional thinking. It’s everywhere on streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. People who have it think hard work is beneath them. Forty years ago, this kind of thinking didn’t exist in such abundance.

Everyone is familiar with narcissism. A GLP member made an excellent post about that guy who took a selfie video too close to the railroad tracks. I suspect he had both Magical thinking and narcissism, costing him his life.

My mother made an excellent observation. She said, “The internet and cellphones are the ruinations of people today.” The internet should be restricted to the government and industry. The government gave the public the internet. They gave us a Ferrari, and we treated it like a lawnmower (cribbed a line from The Bourne Legacy).

If the shizzy ever hits the fizzy, we will be in trouble. Most people with a severe case of magical thinking and narcissism would be an extreme liability to any group. Like drug-addicted people and alcoholics, they can’t be trusted. You can bet America’s enemies know we are a pushover for invasion once our nukes are neutralized.
