I'd rather follow real Libertarian policies like Ron Paul, who was not of The Right, especially back in the day when he was running for President. But still, even as much as it sucks, if we embrace the government stipulating how our economy functions when it comes to one specific market, if allowed that, they will eventually take over it all. And that's not what we want, nor do we want companies to be threatened of their operation by governmental whims.

However when they operate under a monopoly, that itself is an abuse of power, and that's why we still submit to government, to do the things we as individuals cannot do. The oil companies are treading a fine line as of late. Seemingly beholden to "Conservative" representation, even with the statements that prices will lessen during or after the timeframe of the next Presidential election. Gee, is that such a coincidence? Your business plans to cost less when the next regime is in power, and if not, they still stand to make more profit by not carrying out their decades long business practices?
