Why woudl this surprised anyone? Look how many blacks get killed by other blacks during the summer of BLM riots in 2020.

Anytime you get a large group of blacks together(like more than 100) you expect someone to get shot.

Why should it?

Most black people (over 80-90 percent) lean to the cultural-political left. So being mean, cruel and hard-hearted comes naturally to a lot of them.

But exactly the same guns are available to many sick people around you.

My city has scheduled it's big fireworks display this year, downtown, first time since covid hit.

Going to be interesting since the young Blacks are now engaging in multiple gun battles all over the city 1 to 4 times a week now, with weekly killings.

ALL of those Gangs members and young Thugs are going to attending that fireworks show since it will be The Happening" thing, packed in cheek to jowl with everybody else there, a couple of hundred thousand people (or more) and I am fully anticipating guns going off during the evening, and maybe even a couple of full fledged gun battles, since that is what those kids (some as young as 13) seem want to do anymore. Of course the people who will be hit will NOT be the other gang members, those thugs and gang members are the worst shots in the world, the people who will be hit are the normal everyday people who will be there with their families so as to enjoy the fireworks. I AM NOT GOING!! (decided to go out of town)

I sure wouldn't want to be a police person working that event this year, the young thugs have gotten a LOT more violent since the Covid lockdowns started and you can just anticipate what that event may well turn into (thousands of people panicking fleeing for their lives while trying to protect their kids when gunfire breaks out in the middle of the crowd!!)

It was the Something In the Water music festival more than likely. Definitely an influx of youths in town. Not surprising at all,I’d of expected at least a stampede & a few isolated shootings but this one seems especially chaotic. Lots of ammo readily available,lots of cheap armaments on store shelves. These acts of violence are becoming commonplace everyday moreso than just petty crimes. Firearms are almost necessity for African American youths stuck in neighborhoods with no where to go,bad schools,no high school diplomas,no colleges. Better to carry a firearm & risk arrest than to chance it in the back of a ambulance. Maybe the jails will have a GED program.

Pretty much. I was at the Nats game last year when the game ended early because of a drive-by right outside the stadium on S.Capitol st. Even if they gentrify the other side of the street and displace all those people... it's still DC. You can't stop the leakage of crime into neighborhoods, much less MD and VA.
