Humans can take way more than that. I was in Oman with zero humidity and 145 degrees in the sun and ran just as much. Same with Afghanistan.

When humidity is greater than 70% evaporation no longer happens to cool things. This is why dry heat is ok and easily survivable but not humid heat.

well, from my 4th or 5th grade class - yes, with high humidity in the air and temperatures around or slightly lower then human body temp it is possible to have a heat stroke even in the shade.
Ambient temp of 32-34C(90-94F) with high humidity is more dangerous then 36C(96.8F) or ever 40C(104F) with low humidity.
People at risk would be those who have to do physical work or exercise or those who are severely overweight.

I dunno, maybe during the covid majority of those inclined to weigh more put even more weight and now are at higher risk?

The problem isn't the heat - it's the humidity because the air is saturated so climate change is a bullsh*t reason unless they're trying to say the world is getting more humid.

I grew up in Miami, used to visit cousins in St.Thomas several times a year, lived in Atlanta— all hot and humid places & here I am still alive.
