The best advice I’ve ever gotten regarding sleep is this:
Try not to put too much pressure on yourself about it. Do NOT compare yourself to other people or how much they’re getting. Do NOT hold yourself to standard medical advice about how much sleep you should be getting. Pay no attention to anyone. Only you know the best thing for your body, no one else. You are the expert when it comes to this because you’ve been in your body longest.
Don’t try for one long overnight stretch of sleep. Don’t hold yourself to any kind of stringent anything when it comes to sleep. Simply decide to let it go. Release the concern/battle. Sleep whenever you feel tired and get up and do something when you feel awake. The more you try to force any of it, the worse it will get for you. Treat it with a total and absolute indifference and lack of regard. Understand that your body will give you exactly what you need.
