For months I haven't slept but feel fine... strange. Can't sleep, not tired, when I do sleep i find myself on my knees on the edge of the bed, knees on ground, head on mattress, sleeping. Drugs don't work.... nothing. I've tried everything!!

You have a wise doctor. Benzos do not help with sleep pattern - they destroy it longterm. They may help short term only. In for over 12 months with sleep problems. Small benzo dosage from the start. First it worked a little for sleep help - then not anymore. Meanwhile dependent and can get rid of it.. So i'm on low dose benzo for sleep and it doesnt work well. Imho It's better he does not gave you benzos. There is a huge price to be paid for taking benzos usually... Stay away from Benzo hell whenever possible.
