The only reason I don't use the fan more is that too much cold air over my feet will cause cramping after a while and once that happens, I'm awake. I find that it really needs the thunder otherwise it just sounds like chicken frying. |

Had the same issues years ago and a friend suggested that I take a 3 mile brisk walk every day after work before I get home, got a Walkman am radio to tune into talk shows and eat your main meal for lunch and a snack in the evening. It cured my sleep issues. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83495093 Good advice. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83725335 Wtf is going on.. This was happening to me. Go to the doc. If you are a man, get your T level checked. If you are female, get your T, progestrone, estrogen etc. I found out all I needed was a hormone boost, sleeping great now. And don't think that's just for older folks. People of all ages can get their hormones out of whack. |

User ID: 77109715 United States 06/26/2022 12:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I suffered for years. Finally found a doctor who suffered insomnia for years as well, who shared her remedy: at bedtime, take a Benedryl, a probiotic, and magnesium. It worked for me like nothing else. I began sleeping 7 hours at a stretch - unheard of in my experience before. Some other things: no screen time 3 hours before bed, use the bed for sleeping only, keep a quiet, soothing environment in the bedroom, etc. Read the book, “Why We Sleep.” Some other conditions causing sleeplessness include thyroid problems and anemia. Good idea to get your doc to order bloodwork and rule out those kinds of hidden issues. Hope that helps and good luck, OP. Things are often as they seem... |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83725335 Wtf is going on.. Same deal here. I’m at 3 months now. But it’s not driving me nuts Yet I’m trying everything too. I’m just accepting that I just don’t sleep like I used to. I still get days where I can sleep due to the days of sleep Deprivation and I sleep a while but that’s like 1-2 times per week. Even then I have trouble staying asleep and I sweat allot. Still working on the solution. I’m sorry. I know how it is. For 2 months I was suffering serious sleep deprivation, I would sleep maybe 3 hours every 3-4 days. It got to the point I was having “waking dreams” or hallucinations, whatever you want to call it. It’s like my brain was in constant “fight or flight” mode and wouldn’t allow me to sleep. Please, try this as it worked for me. Order some L-Theanine 200mg online, along with 3mg melatonin. Take 2 of the Theanine plus the melatonin 30 minutes before you plan to go to sleep. Won’t make you drowsy. You should be able to fall asleep within 15-20 minutes after closing your eyes. The first night I only slept 2 hours then fell back asleep for 3 hours a couple hours later. The following night I slept 8 hours. It works like a charm. Oh and be prepared for some crazy and vivid dreams! Also, if you drink any alcohol at all, cut it out of your diet. You may be suffering from adrenal fatigue which will keep your brain awake in “fight” mode. Look into it as a possible cause. Best of luck to both of you! |
