The sound of a thunderstorm helps when I'm having a hard time getting to sleep, but some of the time the white noise generated by my fan will also do the trick if for some reason the rain doesn't. The only reason I don't use the fan more is that too much cold air over my feet will cause cramping after a while and once that happens, I'm awake.



I find that it really needs the thunder otherwise it just sounds like chicken frying.
