They actually only cut from 37k barrels to 35k barrels a day on average for Trump's presidency, and to 30k in 2020.

Thats a roughly 7% change giving rise to nearly 80% rise in gas prices.

Trump was also in office for 4 years, he did nothing to stop it or alleviate the steady rise. He'd be remembered for his shit gas policies if not for the pandemic. Sitting by idly while Americans are price gouged...just at the current Republican party is ensuring.

States have already made enough in gas taxes from the previous months of super high prices that they can float on their profits for many months to come.

Let's see now........he opened up the petroleum reserves, that took about 2 cents off the gas price. And now he wants to eliminate the fed tax which will knock off another 18 cents. 20 cents on $6 gas.........Happy Days Are Here Again!
