Call and disconnect any cable TV or Internet streaming services you have.

Go to your internet modem, unplug it and throw in garbage.

Grab your smartphone, change it for basic flip phone and throw in garbage.

Grab any other internet connected device that you may have and also throw in garbage.

Viola!! Most of your stress will be gone with 1- 3 days.

Go rub one out. Married or not.

After a few days of being disconnected and your stress diminishing I would recommend you ease off the Nyquil.

Step one, avoid doomy places like GLP.

Place has been on high red alert since way back when Bush was in office. Nonstop round the clock fucking doom.

But somehow we are all still here without being locked up in Obama's FEMA camps or imprisoned in Biden's slave dungeons under Oprah's mansion or whatever.

Step two, avoid all social media, all of it.

Step three, avoid all mainstream media, all of it.

Step four, avoid all television/streaming/youtube etc... so you don't get whiff of all this fear the others are pushing out. They try to make sure you see it via ads and pop ups and recommendations. They make sure you see it.

Pick up some books or a hobby. Stick to learning about things that spark creativity and joy. Physical fitness is a must, get some sun and get moving if you're not ready to hit weights or do intense workouts to build up that level of euphoria.

Spiritual pursuits requiring all these steps or donations or reading books to unlock mystical powers or get to heaven or whatever are all dead ends, don't even bother with any of that unless you want more fear and doom and wasted life.

Go within to find silence and peace. Get rid of any attachment to ideas or identification with anything or anyone, it's all an illusion and a constructed reality superimposed up on actual reality. A reality you carry with you 100% of the time, if you find your way to access it, you can exist entirely, eternally in bliss.

Advaita Vedanta is a path many find themselves on when they're desperate to find what they've been seeking. Whatever is required to get there you already have, and you can choose to be happy at any point. It's not a gift, or a force of will but a decision to let go of everything in your way.

I thn=ink the two biggest issues driving my stress is the selling of a deceased family members house and now the legal bullshit that has surrounded it... and second, I lost my job about 10 months ago and cant seem to find another one even though Ive applied hundreds of times... I dont have any debt and my sig other works so its not a problem... I just feel worthless as a man..

Being in nature relieves stress. Go swim at a lake or river. Go fishing. Go hiking. Go to the beach. I live on the Oregon coast. The beach, river, and trails are my happy place.

Oh boy have I struggled with this myself. I've tried a lot of things.

1 Gratitude.
This is going to sound cheesy, but gratitude is the single thing that's helped the most. Try moving through your day reminding yourself what you are thankful for and your immediate environment. The food you eat, people, pets, nature, hell - even the air that you're breathing right now. It doesn't really matter what you're thankful for, but it has to be genuine and specific. Make it a game in finding any little thing to be thankful for. I've found that it is virtually impossible to exist in a state of gratitude and anxiety at the same time.

2. Grounding
Walking barefoot on the grass or bare Earth grounds us and helps us feel more centered. It's not an immediate fix, but a practice.

3. Sungazing
This makes the single biggest difference for me. Limit it to only 10 seconds at first. ONLY look directly at the sun within 1 hour of sunrise or sunset - be er in the middle of the day or at any other time. It helps with melatonin production and sleep, and you will feel better the next day. You don't even have to do it every day. I do it when I'm feeling especially down or exhausted, and I swear every time I have an unexpectedly good day the next day. Did you know that your pineal gland has non-visial photoreceptors (meaning that these non-visual photoreceptor cells are meant to absorb light, but are not used for seeing)? You can look up the science on that; it's real.
