Oliva Rodrigo has the most pure valley girl accent I think I have heard. She grew up in Southern California, so it's almost mandatory for someone like her. I am not kidding. I grew up in Southern California, and even my mother in her 70s does the valley girl thing frequently. [ link to www.youtube.com (secure)] I do not hear an accent there either. I mean these people have weird things to say and expressions but I am not hearing a distinct accent they have in common.
